What Skills do
Skills package repeatable workflows. In Lumo, creator Skills describe when to trigger, what inputs are useful, what files should be produced, and what follow-up Skill can continue the work.
Bundled creator Skills
Current bundled creator Skills include content-calendar-planner, content-creator, content-repurposer, metadata-pack-generator, platform-tone-rewriter, shorts-splitter, subtitle-proofreader, video-cover-generator, deep-researcher, image generation, and image processing.
Install and enable
The Skill Manager can install Skills from GitHub, list installed Skills, enable or disable them, open the Skill folder, and delete user-managed Skills.
Create your own Skill
The Create tab starts a skill-creator flow. You choose a template, describe the workflow, optionally add reference files, then Lumo starts a new session to help build the Skill.
When to use a Skill
Use a Skill when the output has a repeatable shape: a weekly calendar, a script package, a metadata pack, a subtitle review, a cover brief, or a platform rewrite. Use normal chat when you are still exploring the idea or deciding what the work should become.
Skills can ask for parameters
Some Skills define parameters. Lumo shows a parameter form before starting the run, so the Skill can receive structured inputs such as platform, target length, number of posts, source file, or output language instead of relying on a vague prompt.
Keep Skills narrow
A useful creator Skill should describe one repeatable workflow and its expected outputs. If a Skill tries to research, write, design, publish, and analyze everything at once, split it into smaller Skills that pass Artifacts to each other.
Review installed Skills
Disable Skills you do not use and keep custom Skills readable. A Skill is part of your workflow, so its instructions should match your current platform, voice, and production constraints.
